Bricks rules

A brick is a dollar.
What you place, stays.

Bricks is the ranking, drawn. Every creator has a territory made of bricks, and that territory measures exactly what has been contributed: one brick, one dollar. Whoever contributes places bricks: chooses where they go, what colour, and draws with them.

The five rules

  1. 1
    A brick is a dollar.

No more, no less. The minimum purchase is the usual one: $5. What you pay is what you occupy, and the ranking is still the total balance: Bricks only draws where that money is. Every brick carries the colour you pick when you place it.

  2. 2
    It goes next to yours.

The bricks of one purchase go together, touching side by side — no diagonals, no islands — and attached to the creator's territory. So you can draw a star, a logo or anything, but always from what is already there.

  3. 3
    The continent is one.

A new creator, or a fan placing bricks for someone who has nothing yet, attaches them to any brick already placed. The board has no edge: it grows outwards. There are never bricks lost in the middle of nowhere.

  4. 4
    What is placed, stays.

Nobody moves, nobody pushes, nobody makes room. A brick only disappears if the payment is reversed (refund or dispute: that purchase's bricks are removed, even if they leave a hole) or if the profile leaves the ranking.

  5. 5
Enclosed, you bridge or build up.

If everything around your territory is taken, you may start a new group on any free edge of the continent, or go up: a brick on top of a brick of yours. Nothing floats and nothing rests on someone else's.

Fans place bricks too

A fan picks their creator, places bricks next to that territory and pays. The bricks belong to the creator; the signature belongs to the fan. Everything else works as before:

To the creator
30 %
To who brought them
5 %
Fan tier
goes up

The contribution shows in recent moves, in the creator's fan list and in the fan ranking. The fan has no territory of their own: they have a signature on their creator's.

What we don't do

Questions

Can I place bricks wherever I want?

Wherever you want, as long as they touch your territory (or the continent, if you have none yet). You pick brick by brick and watch the price go up: twelve bricks, twelve dollars.

What if I just want to top up without drawing?

The "Top up" button is still there. The system places the bricks for you, next to your territory, as compact as possible.

What if two people want the same brick?

When you start paying, your bricks are reserved for ten minutes. If someone got there first on any of them, we tell you before charging and you pick others.

Can I draw my logo?

Yes: every brick carries the colour you pick when placing it. Your territory is your drawing, and every brick in it is a dollar someone put there.

Can I sell or give away my bricks?

No. A brick is not a currency: it is a contributed dollar, drawn. It stays where it is, in the name of the creator who received it.

Is number one in the centre?

Not necessarily. Number one is whoever has contributed the most, wherever they are. The centre belongs to whoever came first.

What happens to the bricks of someone who is gone?

If a profile withdraws or is removed, its bricks are freed and anyone can place theirs there.
